Connect6 has been created comparatively recently, namely, in the 21st century. The game is played on a 19x19 board? similar to Gomoku. Players take turns to place two chips per move on the board. The first player to build a row of 6 or more pieces wins.
In a standard Renju or Gomoku, the player who starts the game has a huge advantage that allows them to win the game disregarding of the opponents’ moves if correct choices are made. To avoid this, several limitations to the moves made with black chips were introduced. What makes Connect6 unique is the equal advantage that both players have no matter what color of chips they play. Therefore, for Connect6, no limitations are required.
