The white eye is a genus of birds of the white-eyed family. The area extends from Afrotropica through the east all the way to the Australian-Asian ecoregion. Cotton tree is a tropical tree of the Malva family (previously the genus Ceiba was referred to the Bombax family). In natural conditions, it grows in Mexico, Central America, the Caribbean Islands, northern South America and in the tropics of West Africa.
