The Grand Canyon is one of the deepest canyons in the world. It is located on the plateau of Colorado, Arizona, USA, on the territory of the Grand Canyon National Park, as well as reservations of the Navajo, Havasupai and Hualapai Indians. The canyon is carved by the Colorado River in the thickness of limestone, shale and sandstone. The length of the canyon is 446 km. The width (at the plateau level) ranges from 6 to 29 km, at the bottom level - less than a kilometer. The depth is up to 1800 m.
