Painted Ladies, or Six Sisters, is an architectural ensemble of six Victorian houses of the same type, built in the Annine architectural style and located in the Alamo Square area of San Francisco (California, USA) at 710-720 Steiner Street. In 1978, a book was written "Painted ladies - dazzling Victorians of San Francisco", dedicated to buildings, after which the term "painted ladies" was used to refer to brightly painted Victorian houses in other American cities.Solid areas: 7%
