Damstredet, or the Old Town of Oslo, consists of residential buildings, most of which date back to the 18th century. Together with Telthusbakken, it forms the core of the Norwegian capital. Once in Dumstredet settled the poorest residents of Oslo, most of whom were eternally impoverished bohemia - writers, artists and musicians. Over time, Damstredet acquired a romantic aura of Norwegian Parnassus - and in the 18th century, beautiful mansions began to grow here like mushrooms after the rain. Some of them have reached our days almost in their original form.Solid areas: 3%
