The Dolomites - a mountain range in the Eastern Alps, are part of the Southern Limestone Alps. Massif is located in the northeastern part of Italy in the provinces of Belluno, Bolzano-Bocene - South Tyrol, Pordenone, Trento and Udine. The massif is bounded by river valleys: Isarco (northwest), Pusteria (north), Piave (east and southeast), Brenta (southwest) and Adige (west). In 2009, the Dolomites were included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.Solid areas: 1%
