Romeo and Juliet (1968) is an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s work of the same name, a two-part feature film produced by England-Italy, directed by Franco Zeffirelli. The film won two Oscars, three Golden Globe Awards and other awards. Shakespeare's tragedy is filmed by Zeffirelli with the preservation of the author's text and is mostly very close to the plot.
