Joseph Lauer (Josef Lauer, 1818, Vienna – 1881, Vienna) – Austrian master of still lifes of the XIX century. He was a student of the Academy of Arts in Vienna, studied with Sebastian Wegmayr, Joseph Massmer, Thomas Enderand Franz Steinfeld. From an early age he participated in exhibitions of the Academy of St. Anne, and then, in the 1860s - exhibited his works in the Vienna Union of Artists.
