For English-speaking users: the Don Нost Cathedral of the Ascension is the main cultural site of Starocherkasskaya rural locality - it's the first stone cathedral in Don region. First (1650) it was wooden one, later (1706-1719) - stone. Styled in Ukrainian Baroque, the church looks quite simple outside, but has rich and interesting interior.
