For fishermen, pike is considered an enviable prey. Catching a pike is not easy. She is careful and smart, learns well from her own experience. Pikes are omnivorous, eat fish, worms, amphibians, bird chicks. Never chase after prey, but ambush. In the first year, the pike grows very quickly, reaching up to 50 cm, then the growth slows down to 2-2.5 cm per year. There are specimens up to 2 m long.
